Lost...that's what she was. Long grass, so tall it whipped to and fro in the wind, hiding her from her pursuers. If she couldn't see them...they couldn't see her and that's how she wanted it.
I relaxed and allowed my exhausted and broken body to sink into the crystal clear water. He would never touch me again. His body lay on the floor, his skull shattered, while I let the water lap over me and imagined myself lost in a pool at a hideaway retreat.
Time and tide stop for no man. Or at least that's what they say, until she stood at the shore and commanded the ocean to stop...and it did! Well...she was a woman, not a man...
"It's happening...I can't believe it, it's happening!"
He spoke softly as she approached him, so many years since as children they said they would find each other...now the day was here, and dressed in white lace she walked down the aisle towards him.
"I need ammo...and I need it now!" he screamed. "I haven't got any I've run out!" she replied. "Then get out of here!" he yelled.
"No!" she said, "Don't touch me!"
"But why? I don't understand..."
"Please don't..." she pleaded. "Or it'll kill you...I have no control over it and I can't refuse it!"
The rock shone in a way I could not imagine...My eyes, now unveiled could see right inside the huge chunk and inside sat a star. There was nothing I could do but crack it open...with my ultra superhuman powers!
