The boat was sinkinfg in the gray murky waters. Se looked over the edge, wishing she had worn her life vest. A sinking feeling filled her thoughts with dread. She knew she couldn't swim. She had learned the dead man's float when she was seven, but after that one bad episode in the pool, she never returned to the water again. A her mind churned.....whT to do? What to do? Then, as if sent directly from God above, a flash of lightening showed her the way. To her left was a small island I. The middle of the lake. Surely she could float there. She dipped her toe in the icy churning water and prayed the storm would end soon. just as she was about to climb out, she herd a sound "Beeeeccca.....Becccccaaaaa. Please get up. It's time for school. ".
