Should magazines shoulder the entire blame for promoting unattainable standards of beauty. Why isn't some of the fault laid on the readership who accepts that these standards are beauty? As teenagers, my friends and I laughed at the emaciated models in Seventeen. We knew those hot clothes would look so much better on real girls like us than those skeletal waifs. Just because it's put out there and labeled beauty, doesn't mean we have to accept it.
