I picked up the small hand mirror I had recently received as a gift from my aunt. I held it gingerly up towards the light and turned it over to get a better look at the back of it. Before I knew what was happening, it slipped from my hand, crashing to the floor. I quickly picked it up to examine the damage, fractures in it's glass face played across its face.
