I walk by the playground everyday. Today, there were little girls playing under the large pine tree. "Let's play catch in the forest!" one of them said, holding up a large red ball. "In the forest!"
The pressed fabric wrinkled under her cheek as she turned her head to the side. "Where are you going?"
The muscles in his jaw clenched.
"Please don't be like this."
He turned to me with a snide grin. "Be like what?"
"We're supposed to be celebrating and you're being a total tool."
"Don't put it away!"
I looked up at her and pulled my hand away from the pouch on my hip. "Why not?"
