Such a tender word that could turn ugly, if there's too much. Being recently bit by it, I'm in pain but time heals all wounds.
Broken pieces of an object, yet possibly another object that is made from it. Delicately falling downwards to a surface as they are inevitably chipped off, flakes are the pieces of the object, a "child", if you will. But with no life.
Hard to kick yet persistent. Habits form the patterns of our lives, and as with science, are a basis for both good and bad. But humans can't have everything, all of it must be in balance, otherwise we cannot keep up with the world around us. A power for good or evil, use them well.
The power between opposites; it is a natural thing. Yet in politics our opposing sides cannot come together as two magnets do. Why is this? Human thought is artificial, perhaps that's the crux of the issue. And of course, not even close to perfect.
Science is neither friend nor foe. It only obeys an order that is greater than the comprehension of humans. We do, we analyze it and we quantify it. It exists in our domain of understanding through translation of the human mind.
