She looked out the window, and as her son looked back at her, that vision shattered. She was wrenched back to the painful truth... he would never wake up again.
The aubern leaves fall down my face, as I turn around and revel in the glory of the season. The cool air, the crisp colors, and everything about this wonderous place makes me happy. I never had the time to spend much time outside as a young boy, and now, as an adult who does as he pleases, I love every second.
There was a platinum ring encased in the chest. He gently pried it from the container and tried it on... a perfect fit. As soon as he put it on, he felt a warmth flow through him, and a voice in his head, "Hello, I reside within the ring. You may call me Sajin. I'll be your guide."
A styropfoam cup is one of the oddest things in the world. This cheap, flimsy, weak material, which appears porus and riddled with holes, holds liquid perfectly, no spilling, and transfers almost no heat. Indeed, starbucks would never be the same without it.
He was foreign. It was obvious. His clothes were unique, his accent pronounced, and his face looked like none they had ever seen... and yet he fit in as one. He somehow infiltrated his way into our society like a natural. Like a native. He was foreign... but he was one of us. Already. Somehow.... he joined us, and we accepted him. As our father. Our salvation.
I sat on the table... and suddenly felt a smack on my head. I jumped off quickly to the sound of my father "Get down! How many times have I told you? You'll break it!" ...Says the man who, at twice my size and weight, stood on top of it to reach something way up high.
I punched the air violently and with fierce glee as I realized my plan had gone exactly as planned. Super villians in movies are always stupid at heart so the good guy wins, but in real life, if you're smart enough, you'll always come out one step above the cops... and as I ruffled the hundreds through my fingers, I laughed gently to myself.
The man.... so cheeky. I don't know why he was always so annoying. He seemed to enjoy it, but everybody tried to get away from him because of it. However, I knew that he could be a good friend, so I invested the time in him, and, amazingly... he was exactly as annoying as everyone thought he was.
The color was indistinct, really. It made me think of the night sky... but you know, without any starts or moon or anything. Just empty black. I suppose that's a bad thing, but I really don't care anymore. I don't care if I'm a bad hero; i'm through saving the world.
The moon glowed onto my face and on the path before me, illuminating the way... of course it did. The moon is our friend. We night elves allied it centuries ago, and ever since, it has guided us, empowered us, and protected us.
