With her red suede boot clutched in my fist, my heart pounded as I raced against time before it was too late. I could barely see where I was going in this darkness as I followed her screams. How did I get distracted so easily? All my thoughts and senses were focused on her at that moment, and I would not back down.
I came to a halt when there was a loud thud nearby and the screaming stopped. I followed my senses and parted the thick tree branch, finally exposing herself to me. A thick stream of blood flowed down her calve caused by the trip over the shattered glass on the ground.
Her eyes stared widely back at me, and soon we both knew that it was over. It was a long time since I felt so powerful, as I slowly removed the knife from my pocket and lunged at her chest.

I was awoken by the swaying movement and the roaring of familiar voices. How did I end up in here? I peered through the bars cautiously. Ah, rugged faced poachers armed with guns and daggers . So mama was right about warning us never to trust humans. Now they have found and captured me. The home where my brothers and my mama used to live in peace under the oak tree alongside the stream seems nowhere near here. Then, a terrible glance got me paralyzed in shock. No, this can’t be. About 2 meters away, there my mama was. They caught her and kept her in this cage too. I noticed there was something on her back; something sharp and red was sticking out of her fur and streams of blood trickling down to the floor of the metal cage. She laid there, motionless and silent. I knew. She did not make it. I began to howl and bark furiously and suddenly, there was a loud bang and I felt a sharp pain on my back. I yelped in pain and collapsed to the side. In a flash, everything went blank.

It's true. God created our existence on this earth. We have millions of abilities to do anything that we want, if we try hard enough. We can sense emotions, play, help others, compose music, create art and so much more. However, some of us here are just existing; like wandering ghosts, they are invisible, neglected, real and untouched. They're showing signs of surviving, but not truly living. There are others who are bursting like fireworks; those who go forth and open many doors, seek adventure, appreciate and enjoy life as much as possible.
You only have 86400 seconds each day, cherish it, do as much as you can and don't hold back. You only live once.
What a peculiar tiny creature it is. Sleep is for the weak, but the ant and its friends never need a chance to fall into slumber or even take a quick nap. How is one able to work so hard and carry loads hundred times of their body size weight, yet become so vulnerable to us, earthly humans, with just a pinch between the fingers. Oh, how do you end up so randomly in the strangest places; in my hair, or under the chair. Every ant has its own adventure. If only we knew and stop harming this magnificent creatures, they're working tirelessly and venturing curiously into our world.
