He marched into the office, papers flying rapidly from his briefcase. He slammed it down on the table, demanding that his executive examine the files. running
running
running
they're coming closer
there is no escape
no they're right on my heels
there is no escape
journeying to far off lands, no destination in mind, focusing on every detail of the wandering paths, meander down hidden detours rarely seen
they flow around your neck
brightly colored shafts of beauty
contrasting the blue sky beyond
as they wave in the wind
and reach for the clouds
you gasp in awe as the mammoth wave
crashes down upon the rocks along the shore
obliterating life among the nooks and crannies
they must have wondered what they did
to deserve such a cruel fate
