Once I saw it, I knew it was different. 32 of them were showing themselves fully. The teeth that illuminated the pure smile. I grabbed her face, and leaned in for a kiss that I thirsted for. I kissed her for the first time of millions of other times.
Ridin' on the train, swiggin' my whiskey. I gave the proper man behind me no smiles, and laughed giddily as I trailed to the end of the train to sit back, and watch the tracks sprawl from underneath the train. I sat down in a heap, and a grunt. I was heavily drunk, and I'm sure everyone could tell that I was by now, since I've had my fifth bottle of the good stuff.
I was flustered as I heard the sign of church bells, signaling that there was going to be a funeral soon. I grabbed my pitchfork, and ran to the church with my chance. I was eager to see whose body I could be stashing today.
I was stuck inside my little corner. As I watched all the other kids playing, and enjoying their brand new toys....I stood there with my mind in a daze. I was upset at my teacher, and yelled at her with incoherent words. She had put me in this godforsaken corner. I was afraid of what my parents had to say about the 'trouble', I had caused.
I've forgotten of when I was your friend. I've forgotten of how we used to play, and enjoy each others company. If I could see you again, I would remember you. The opposite of forgotten. You are both. Remembered, and Forgotten.
I woke up to the bright light, and mentally slapped myself on the forehead. I knew that today was my friend's birthday, and I had completely forgotten about it. I knew that she would become upset with me, so I grabbed my car keys, and rushed to the front door to try and get my friend a present.
