I told you not to walk down that alley. Everyone knows it's plastered over with gum every since the '60s. They say if they every do road work back there, they'll have to dig up over a foot of gum.

I took a class at this little bakery down in the back of the alley. We learned to make icing and frost the ever loving shit out of some cakes. It was fun. I found out later it was a front for a human trafficking operation, so I suppose that puts a damper on that memory.
I kept an eye on the nigh patrol. I have a good angle from this vantage point. The radio at my side crackled softly. Just waiting for that one word, and it was show time. The guards rounded the corner and disappeared into the shadows. Perfect. This couldn't be going any more smoothly. Luck is surely shining on us tonight.
