Liam just came home from working a long night shift. He made his way through the house. As he entered the white and pale pink nursery he could see his young wife sitting in the rocking chair, holding their newborn baby girl, Adelaide, facing the window as the sheer curtains waved gently in the cool spring air. The stillness in the room is palatable. Not a sound could be heard aside from a soft sing song of his wife Lilli cooing their child. Something was wrong. Liam set down the bouquet of flowers on the dresser and walked around the see his wifes face. Lilli's soft blue dress and tender face were stained head to toe in blood, her perfect brown curls still dripping with crimson. She looked at at him, her dark brown eyes wider than ever and she smiled up at him as Adelaide slept soundly in her arms.
I see nothing but the desolation left behind from what I did to him...the one I loved...the only one who ever loved me...he is gone and I am left sitting in front a mirror staring into the eyes of a person long past...a husk...a shell...nothing more than a carcass left behind after what I had just done. I wiped the blood off my hands and face on to my blue and white plaid dress, turned and grabbed his ankles and began to drag him out to the garden. He always loved watching me garden.
She was not going to look back no matter how much he screamed and no matter how bad it wrenched her heart was wan not going to look back. He told her to flee and that is what she was going to.
I stopped hearing form her. i heard from my 9 children very seldom. Out of all of them Gwendolyn was mine, not from my marriage, but from me my womb. I missed her more the the others. She was the twinkle in my eye, the spring in my step, my reason to live. I was sitting on my bed staring out the window when a nurse came in bearing the bad news.
"I WAS JUST YOUR REBOUND!" Saetan yelled down the hall, hoping her head would pop. ''I LOVE YOU! I GAVE UP EVERYTHING FOR YOU!'' Saetan fell to his knees weeping. He cupped his head in his hands, sobbing, waiting for the door to slam shut. Instead of hearing the door he heard foot steps coming down the corridor. Lilli placed her hand on his back, whispering into his ear '' Saetan...you were never my rebound...you were my only...''
We started the reconstruction of the face after recovering the skull from the crime seen. I slipped my gloves on and picked it up. Looking it over, trying to find the one spot that would give me what i needed. A clue. A clue as to what she looked like before the accident.
He looked her over. The complexity of her body made him want more. Made him wish she knew he existed. She sat across form him reading. She reached up, brushed her hair out of her face, pulling it to the side. She pushed her red glasses up and smiled at what she was reading. The way she moved drove him crazy.
The room was thick with cigar smoke and smelt of whisky. You could hear bluegrass softly playing in the room under the chatter and loud laughter. I made my way to the stage, running into a man who was just standing up. My guitar fell to the floor along with me.
I silently walked down the hall. Not know what to expect. I could feel him pulling me, it intrigued me. Knowing that he was so close but just out of reach.
