A night black and soft like velvet, immovable and unyielding. A man stands in solitude beneath the stars, unable to match their luster with the bleakness of his own feeble day to day existence. He lights the flare in his hand, feeling it burst into the sky and cascade in brilliant flames, lifting the veil of darkness from the world. BURN, GODDAMNIT BURN! For an instant, he could change the world. Until the next instant, when darkness ruled again.

Rich, melty and creamy, the chocolate swirls down the toilet bowl as she gags and heaves. Porcelain walls echo-- splashing and coughing. Goodbye chocolate... all of the joy with none of the calories.

Stamp a lamp. I stamp on lamps while on a ramp in my camp where the grass is damp. Goddamn lamp. It gave me a cramp.
The pill rests in her trembling hands, toxins balanced so perfectly as to destroy the tiny genesis of life that might be growing inside of her, so that she can continue living her own. What for one is deathly poison, to the other is the elixir of life.
The earth spins so fast, time racing through my existence blasting holes in my soul. Make it stop, slow it down, I want to be free of these pains, free from this fate.

One beam pierces the theater's blackness, specks of dust drifting wearily through the warm air. One girl stands on an empty stage, heart pounding, hands shaking, under the glare of the beam. With a slow intake of breath, her lungs pull in a gasp of air, her mouth opens, and the music pours out, filling the void of silence.
