Switching from the old system to the new one, Reuel had to admit something this sudden was not something he was entirely comfortable with. He had been an engineer for his entire life, after all, and that encompassed a time far greater than he was quite comfortable talking to anybody about. However, he especially was capable of seeing that a change was necessary, for the old systems he had grown up with and used up until that point were something that was growing rather obsolete with the ages.

They had to escape. They knew very well what O...'s intentions were, and knowing that, they could only imagine what this particular ploy had intended to do with them. L- raised her eyebrow and started observing her surroundings, hoping to come up with something.
There was none. What had happened to the man's sense? I couldn't see why he wouldn't agree with such an elementary idea- and then it hit me. What the man in the hat had said to me, about differences- and how his experience had taught him to deal with the one they called O-
The hall was quaintly decorated. Perhaps quaint wasn't the best word, rather, she was thinking unique. It made her wonder exactly who these people were and what they intended to do. Just as her mind was settling, she was brought before a calm-looking man sporting a silken top hat.
