The dog is barking and I'm trying to sleep. I open my eyes to see a man standing in my bedroom. Take everything I have, I think. But don't rape me. Don't kill me. I begin to yell. Get out of my house! I'm angry. Get out of my house. He says he's sorry and turns and lopes out until I pick up the phone to call the police.
What is he doing in my bedroom? What shall I do? Scream? Pretend to be sleeping? Run? I always wondered what I would do in such a situation and I cannot think at all.
