Heels are terribly uncomfortable and can hurt your feet if you have to walk very far. I like the wway heels look, but don't like the way they feel. My favorite heels are platforms because they are tall but comfortable.
A beautiful fairy from deep, dark and terrifying woods carried a wand that was powerless, or so she thought. As she stumbled on the obstacle filled path her foot caught on the snarled root of a giant redwood tree causing her to lose her balance and twist an ankle. Unable to walk, fearful of the invisible creatures that lurked nearby with tears trailing down her pale cheeks, she felt hopless. Being on her way to the nearby town to help a small, sickly child recover from an illness that would surely kill the youngster by days end tomorrow, sorrow filled her and hopelessness weighed her down. The fairy concentrated and tried to think of another way to complete her task, but could not come to any decisive conclusion. After having thought continuously about her situation, she felt a tingle in the palm of her hand, then more of a wiggling sensation followed by definite movement. When she lifted her temple from her buckled up knees, she looked at the strange feeling hand and stared at the slightly glowing wand. Suddenly, the wand jumped out of her clenched hand and had a life of its' own bucking, swaying, almost dancing around as if it had a secret to tell. Shocked, the slight fairy beckoned and pleaded for the wand to return to her. Although she found no power in the wand, it filled her with security when she had it in her possession. In this way, she relied on her wand and found power in the security it provided. Little did she know that the security the wand produced was the beginning of the power it possessed. It was her insecurity that had awakened the power in the wand and caused it to flash it's power down at the fairy and heal her so that she would be able to complete her task. Although she stood tenuously at first, her ankle felt much stronger and was healed enough for her to walk. As she continued her walk through the woods, the wand returned to her open palm. It was at this point that she finally realized that the power of the wand could only reach it's true potentional when the need for it's powers was extremely intense and one's thought was focused. Once the fairy with her wand reached the small town and the sickly childs home, she concentrated as hard as she could and focused on the desperation of the child's family and the misery of the child herself. Again, the wand jumped out of her hand, pointed at the child and healed with its' glowing power. The glow in the cheeks of the child grew brighter and filled her eyes while her hollowed cheeks and bony legs grew fleshier. The fairy and her wand left the family's cottage knowing that the sickly child was no longer ill and would live to tell of her miraculous tale.
