Her day was already shit and it was only 9am. The only thought in her head as she stormed out the office. The meeting had run way over it's set time and she knew that bitch Bertha probably had stayed right by her car and wrote up a ticket for each minute that passed.
A blaring horn screamed through the hallways, it's offensive sound echoing off the laminate walls in such a way it almost seemed to cause the fluorescent lights to flicker on and off. As soon as it was there it was gone, deafening silence once again broken by a crackle in the speaker. A pause then the voice came.
It was a small offering, the only thing he had left of value to give up. He knew he had to, anything to take away the pain he had caused. He solemnly trudged forward to the small hut in the center of the village - aware of the whispers and stares following him. He would give his life to take back the suffering he had caused his people, but first he would try asking forgiveness through this offering.
This drink tasted funny. But it was just the right type of strong with a touch of Rophylon. Commonly known as your goto-fuck-therandomgirl-atsaidparty drug.
Plus...Aaron had gotten it for me. So whatever was in it....oh well. It would be a fun morning to remember.
I trailed behind, following him like a puppy into the room behind him, aware of the plan he had for me tonight. It didn't bother me in the least. He had no idea what I had in store for him. Bring it on...you'll never get rid of me.
I looked down at the doll I had gripped between my fingers tightly. My rational thought wouldn't let me acknowledge what I had found. This small cloth doll looked just like me, wrapped with my own auburn strands....it was a voodoo doll. My voodoo doll.
