I have a little secret.
It runs on the railroad tracks.
It travels from city to city looking for you.
It's the love you'll never know.
The silent Cathedral.
As if frozen in time,
Catches all the sounds of the neighboring expanse
Do you hear the winds chime?
A sleight of hand and I'll see you again,
The rain drops slowly and my mind is detained,
I realize I'm awake but my mind has been sleeping,
I'm experiencing reality, except only when I'm dreaming.
Hung loosely on the branches,
Clothes tasseled with the winds,
Dove far into the river depths,
And closed my eyes to peaceful sleep.
My willfulness makes me push those I love the farthest away from me. Maybe what I need more than willfulness, is faith in any matters of the heart. I pray that my mother finds happiness and that my father rests peacefully in his sleep. I pray for a global awakening, a road map for everyone to divulge in their hearts. A divine kind of feeling, this hot spring evening, and I'm completely obsessed. With you, and me, and everything in between.
... turn a page and look to the other side, get access to the world that lies beyond the realm of your existence, blaze it with the fury of your discontentment.
I keep seeing you today and tomorrow in my mind's eye and for the last time, I want you out. I pray almost everyday that you're following your dream and that you're happy, but please just leave me alone.
His temper is a raging volcanic eruption. It has the power to desensitize me with its sheer force. Lucky we love each other. When the anger subsides, we're always sitting together watching the molten rock cool forming pools similar to those of candle wax on a ceramic plate. Sometimes, even fire souls need a little bit of water to mediate themselves.
Today is the world of the pageant. What lies ahead?
The back yard sand pit.
A match to torch my memories.
A scarred heart.
As the fire rose, so did the devil in my eyes.
Dread overcame.
This is not what I wanted.
Ran for the water bucket.
Drenched my memories wet.
Tenderly picked each.
Hung them out to dry in the backyard.
This is what I wanted.
I ran as fast as I could, gripping my teeth, focusing consistently on my breathing. The scenery that sped before me blurred into a dreamy unreal painting of pastel hues; mellow blues, calming purples, soft greens and yellowish pinks. I was being pulled into a daze again.
I was running on a winding road between two large fields of green with multiple rows of lavenders converging at the horizon. It had just stopped raining, the muddy road was soft beneath my soles, and the setting sun made the air progressively colder against my sweaty skin. It was amazing being there. With every breath I engulfed the enriching scent of lavenders. As I ran with all my might, I almost felt as though the fields were beckoning me to wait, slow down, and perhaps, enjoy the scenery.
I continued running, as fast as I could, gripping my teeth, focusing consistently on my breathing.
