I've been heartbroken before. Again, and again, and again.
I feel broken, now. What do you do when you've been lost so many times that you can't be found?

"One, two, three..." she whispered as she carefully dropped more of the green liquid into the vial. She was careful to get just the right amount- these were the only supplies they had. "Phew" she sighed as she finished. She carefully walked back to the freezer.
He sat on the cold stone floor, his clothes damp from the water dripping through the ceiling. Chains clattered as he desperately tried to find a more comfortable position, but he couldn't. Everything was cold and wet. He wasn't sure how much more of this he could take.
He placed his hand over his heart, sweating. He had thought he was ready, but now that the moment had actually arrived, he wasn't quite so sure. Is this really what he wanted to do with his life?
She stared at the vial in awe. In there was the genetic code of the Thylacine. She could bring back a long dead-species. Could she really use that kind of power? Her hands were sweaty. She almost dropped it.
The pair of shoes sat on the shelf, taunting her. Once-white Converse, stained brown by age, holes torn in them. She knew she had to throw them away. But she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She'd owned them for so long.
