I wasn't sure if it was going to be a good or bad day, but I knew either way the end would go off with a 'bang'. Sitting across from me was my parents looking as beautiful as ever while everyone starred at my shinning ring. While they looked happy, I was indeed the opposite since I knew who had given it to me was not my choice for an intended, but theirs.
She looked hard at the mirror before her, half exhausted and half annoyed. She knew going to a new stylist was a bad idea, but that still didn't stop as she knew she was saving a bundle.
"They just had to clip down my curls. Now what will I do for my date?"
She wanted them so bad and they just sat there taunting her.
"Please daddy, just one?"
He knew soon he would agree, but it was important to deny her once in awhile. Her sparkling blue eyes just stared at them in wonderment as they looked into the tiny shop's window.
"I'm sorry dear, but candy bars truly isn't that good for you."
She couldn't help but wonder what it was that attracted her to him and him to her. They were two different people and from two different worlds, it didn't make sense. She just needed to understand what kind of existence she held in his life. Was she important to him? Was she a huge part of his life as he was hers?
The ant crawled up the small dirt hill and looked towards the darkening sky with sad eyes.
"Why are you crying? Are you OK?"
No answer came. Only the gentle wind that touched the ants face was felt and a rumble of thunder that roared in the distance.
