The needle pushed past the barrier that was skin, and travelled it's way into the flesh that was beneath. I froze as the pricking traveled it's way to my head. It hurt, but was not the as painful as I thought it would be. I have always been scared of needles, always afraid to get sick lest I might need an injection.
I feel so lucky, meeting you and then getting to know you as well as I do now. The life I led before this was dreary, the stuff that boring dreams were made of. After meeting you, I hav experienced the thrill of living on the edge. You are awesome.
