The colors were maroon and silver, two royal and mighty colors if ever there were, and the name of my institution was Horizon High. If you look at the horizon from the right angle, you can see the maroon of today leaking out of the sky, washing down over the sown fields and wild hillsides. You can see the silver of giant kings jingling in the pockets of cloud dragging their bottoms across the low ragged peaks, just begging to be torn open so they can spill their riches over the sidewalks and dry flagstones. Yes, you could say maroon is a dark color, but it's the dark that teaches us not to be afraid of the things we can't see.
