Being prosperous is not necessarily about money. Money is only a thing, one which we all agree means something. Being prosperous is about having the means to have things, which might or might not be the money.
It's not really a hovel, but it's certainly a bit run down as far as houses go. Comfortable little thing, really, lived in. On the messy side. The patch in front of the house is a bit run down, really. Weedy, but smooshed together with flowers and herbs and all sorts of interesting plants.
