effie
I give my vote of confidence
to have the world spread
at your feet,
where it belongs.
Let me run my nails down your side,
dig them in and draw from you a
confirmation.
there is half a me
inside me
and half a you
and together
we make a whole we.
and I think that's sick,
I think that's sad,
I hate that I can't be a
whole without you but
I guess;
there are worse ways
to live.
You are leading me
down all the wrong paths,
I am holding all the wrong
moments but still,
I follow because with you
there is not a single thing I regret.
i bent to retrieve the pieces of the
glass i dropped on the floor and thought;
'i wonder if this is how you see me.'
She wore yellow in spring;
in autumn; in winter; and
in summer she wore black.
I wrote a poem about it once,
but as each word met the nib of my
pen and I had to scratch out
my mistakes, I sorely wished that
my life had backspace key.
