The bronzed armor glistened in the sun, though covered in blood. Not all of this being the blood of enemies, but enough so that the battle could be considered won.
the sign was ominous yet ambiguous: "BEWARE" was all it had to say. Beware of what? I thought it rather analogous to life.
It pained me to see her in that state. What was even worse was the knowledge that it was my fault. The long hours of backbreaking labor had been for nothing, years of tedium undone in a moment of rash stupidity.
I had been blasted out of my mind about thirty minutes ago, but what was time anyway? It was all so... so arbitrary! The LSD was bitter as my friends had mentioned, but I had been doubtful of its potency. Now I was doubtful I'd ever come back to reality, which was quite alright with me. I liked it here.
