I am impressed with the success a student of mine is having. Rather than using real world examples for understanding math problems, he uses examples from the world of gaming.

My father used to measure everything. If someone measured twice and cut once, dad would check one or two times more. He was meticulous and sometimes irritating so. I had to make a stool for Cub Scouts. Mine was the only perfect stool in the pack.
I wonder what the world would be like without violence. Is violence necessary so we can recognize peace? Does everything have to have a polar opposite in order to make sense?
