He tackled her and they fell into the straw pile laughing. She looked at him lovingly and he whispered "I love you." She said "I love you too." and leaned in for a kiss. She buried her face in his shoulder and they both knew this was something they would never forget.
Do you know what I mean? No one ever seems to. I can't seem to ever get a point across. I try to tell someone something and they just don't understand. Maybe it's because I'm different. I'm not like everyone else. Sometimes I wonder if I'm human. I think these dark, other worldly thought that no one else can understand and I think it must be because I don't belong on this planet.
The long blonde braid runs down her back as she slowly walks forward. Stage fright takes over as she begins her valedictorian speech. She welcomes everyone, and, in her head, vows that no matter what, she needs to be confident and make this a speech to remember. She speaks about the times throughout high school when she felt alone but her friends came to rescue her. She speaks of the hard times and the fun ones. In the end, everyone applauds with tears in their eyes.
Honesty. Truth is, no one really IS honest. We like to say we are but I doubt there is one person in the entire mortal world who can say they've never told a lie. White lies sure, pointless lies, lies to spare feelings. It doesn't much matter. It's a lie all the same. So next time you're going to tell a lie, stop and think, is this really necessary? Or could I tell the truth and it wouldn't even make a difference?
