Flannel. It was a cloth she associated with him, and it just looked wrong on anyone else. She pressed it to her face and breathed in the scent that was probably just psychosomatic at this point. It had been 2 years since her father last wore this shirt. He wouldn't wear it again.
The skies reached up around me as I traversed the ancient grounds. Artifacts that no one has laid eyes on in centuries lay scattered across the ground, their value forgotten. My foot stepped upon something soft. In the dust, something the Old Ones called a "Teddy Bear."
Ching. Ching. There, that is enough for today, I thought as I dropped the knife. Enough good deeds to win me enough goodness points. I can move on, now, I thought happily, looking over my handywork. The bodies lay unmoving.
Air through my hair causes me to bend like grass. Sun pouring down on me like a shower too quickly heated, and I find myself struggling to breath in this terrible heat.
