The octopus is one of the most amazing creatures in nature. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the species, and I am fully ready to submit to the cephalopods when they arise from the oceans to take over our lives, for they will some day.
Sunlight filled the chamber of the old temple. For years it had been neglected as the citizens had lost their faith, after the untimely demise of the king. But now, finally, there was a new heir. He had returned from his studies abroad, and was now set to restore the country to it's former strength.
"Home grown?"
"Only the best."
The farmer smiled as he turned the vegetables in their boxes.
"I take great care to be all natural with my produce."
"Patience, patience child."
The child twitched a bit, excited and anxious to get the treat.
"But grandfather, you promised me an ice cream cone."
"Aye, child. I did. But not before the oath."
The coaster was cold to the touch, and the moisture felt good against his forehead. The heat was so intense, that even the smallest token of chill was of welcomed relief. He ran his fingers along the edges, savoring the rapidly diminishing returns.
Schedules? Who needs those? Life is too chaotic to force yourself into confining boxes of time. Indeed, only a foolish man would put so much stock into a concept. This is just my opinion of course. What else can I say?
