Have you ever played capture the flag? Ok my cousins and I play in the hallway every Passover since I was a baby, and I remember this one time when Allison was really little and our parents came upstairs literally to find a 3 year old Allison holding the flag while ethan and I were trying to pull her over the line to each others sides of the "arena". We got in trouble, and Allison was a little traumatized after that
So Carl keeps telling me that he's going to be doing the talent portion in this pageant later and I really wanna go see because, well, it's going to be hilarious, but I have bio that block. Do you think she'll let me out of class? I think we're just doing a lab, so im sure she won't mind, :)
My teacher will bother me for the duration of the semester. Which sucks, because shes teaches one of the only classes I enjoy. Not the subject, just the people in it. But whatever.
My personal feeling is that if there is a formal meal called brunch, there should also be a Formal meal called linner or, Dunch. Although saying "guys lets go get some Dunch" sounds pretty stupid.
Ethan and I used to pretend the swing set was our pirate ship, because it was right next to the water. When we got bored, we would swing to see you could swing fast enough to land in the water, which was about 30 feet --> that way. We weren't exactly the brightest bulbs in the box, but then again, we were only 10.
We were sitting on the beach and I was about to turn 9. He bopped me on the head and said JACQUELINE THAT'S IT! Lantern can be your nickname, like jackalanern!
Oh my god ok so we were in English and we were watching this show from TLC about this couple that just got married but they were each others first kiss and someone commented that they look like ants or birds or something and it was really gross and Garry said "well what state would you be from where you'd be bad kissers?" and, totally ignoring to 10 seconds ago she told us she was from Ohio, I shouted Ohio and everyone laughed and it was soooo awkward. The end :-)
Clueless is a movie that everyone in my lit class kept talking about that I have never seen. At least I think that's the movie we were talking about. I don't know, it was supposedly based on Emma by Jane Austen, although I'm not really sure how some movie could turn that kind of book into anything worth watching. I mean the book was good but I just don't see how someone can take a Victorian (I think) novel and turn it into some romcom whose plot is completely centered around a beach party.
There's a mothers day fair in Great neck, so I guess that counts as a festival. All I remember is that camp&campus holds their biggest sale that day, and it's swarming with 6th graders that are wearing too much eyeliner, and the high schoolers tended to avoid going into town that day because all the kids rides were cramping their style.
Executive functioning disorders are disorders that make it so you can't plan things. for example, if a kid knows he has a project due in 2 weeks, that kid probably won't start until the night before, because their ability to plan in advance has been tampered with. people get kids with Executive Functioning Disorders and kids who procrastinate mixed up all the time, even though one is basically a mental disorder and the other is pure laziness.
