We've been here before, haven't we? This place, this smell, that time. I remember that dial up on the barn door and the splinter that stuck in my finger for days after. The clouds that day were surreal. Sea gulls spiralled out of control in the air as we frolicked in the hay.
It was all going so well. That's how it is. You feel great, you feel fine and then - BAM. GONE. You get a 'no' when you wanted a 'yes'. You get a half-hearted grunt when you wanted an enthusiastic 'yeah'. That's how it is when you are only half-way stable. humph.
Are we on the same one, or what?! Sometimes I feel like dating an introvert as an extrovert is an exercise in walking a tight rope. Trying to cross boundaries that feel terrible, just so that you get to the place where it feels so good. That place where you each understand one another. Get on the same wavelength. You know?
