I attempted, as usual, to sneak extra food out of the all-you-can-eat dining hall. They don't like it when students do that, even though the dining hall rules clearly state that you can eat as much as you want. "This is how much I'll eat," I say. "Nobody said if it had to be now or later."
The first smile he gave me was the one when I realized how close we could be. WIth shy eyes barely peeking out behind hair badly in need of a haircut (which, he had assured me, he knew he needed), and a blush of embarrassment that he was smiling at a girl, it was the first time he had smiled for me and me alone in the nearly two months I had known him.
