The castle loomed before them like a big, haunting monster. Dozen of pretend monsters ran around ringing doorbells and shout of trick or treat filled the air. The pumpkins smiled with forced cheer as the children made their way trough the gate and up to the door of the haunted house.
He always came looking for advice to the most crazy person he could find, the senile old lady who had nearly forty cats. He asked her about anything and everything, never holding back and they had long conversations, sometimes they lasted for hours. People never understood but he loved his grandmother.
The ship pulled into port and unloaded it's passengers. A young child watched the fish in the ocean, for the first time and giggled happily. The mother smiled serenely at the child's happiness and was glad she had taken her children with her. Until the older boy pulled his sister's hair and they started screaming at each other. "This will be fun..." The mother looked for her oldest and saw her dragging the screaming children toward her.
He didn't feel like it was the time to celebrate anything, he had just learned a scary and true fact about himself that he wished he hadn't. he was a user just like his father and mother, and despite years of trying to stay away from that path, he hadn't. but the next time he saw the person he thought used, he wondered of he just needed someone so bad and that person was the only one to give it, the feeling new and it made him feel guilty.

Would he always live a lie because he was never truly happy? Suddenly a bright smile overtook his face, all the money in his other account was gone and that only meant one thing; he was loved although the one who loved him would never admit it.
"I don't care how bad it is, don't even bring your bad attitude in here, where I have customers that are enjoying themselves." Her voice was clipped, beign trained well by her father.
"Please, just let us clean up, we won't take too long." The men pleaded.
"No."
She clipped the papers together for the turks tabs, which were insanely high, and sighed. Her other customers that weren't "turkey savers" had alot smaller stacks.
They looked through the bars at the unconscious victim and wondered what had caused such a gentle soul to snap so violently and nearly kill the poor redhead. Then again, they thought about how annoying said injured redhead was and how many times they had thought of doing worse than Roxas. They looked at each other.
"He deserved it." Cloud and Leon laughed and walked away, ready for the next round.
He thought of his existence and thought of everything he had done and realized the bane of his existence had always been him, to be better than him in everything. He realized that he had failed to live up to his life promise and he vowed to be better and finally be himself for once. Little did he realize that the bane of existence had been waiting for all this time.
