I am not a fan of bees, much less beehives. I could never be a beekeeper for a living.
Yeah,I'm a bee-leaver, I couldn't keep them if I tried...
Seriously though, I know they're important and all, but I've just had bad luck with them over the years, so I avoid them whenever possible now. The end.
Bland isn't always a bad thing. Not everything has to be spicy, or jazzy, or otherwise spruced up. Sometimes vanilla is a perfectly acceptable flavor, without the addition of nuts or sprinkles or even chocolate. Once in a while my taste buds need a break. I don't need to condimentize my world. Sometimes, no stimuli is good stimuli. Bring on the blandness, says I!
They say music soothes the savage beast (though the actual quote is "savage breast," but who likes to throw the word breast around?) But really, I think it depends on the type of music, because sometimes music can rile me up, get me angry, make me more savage than I otherwise might have been. This is why I prefer acoustic whenever possible. (No offense meant to electric music whatsoever.)
Lillies remind my wife of death. So does the song "How Great Thou Art." In fact, pretty much anything related to funerals. This can make for some awkward moments, particularly around Easter and whatnot. But I know I have my own issues, and so I try to be respectful whenever possible.
I spend a large portion of my shopping time worrying about oil. Hydrogenated oils, partially hydrogenated oils, you name it. I try to stick with olive oil or canola oil, but frankly, just the thought of ingesting any kind of oil makes me feel a bit... mechanical, somehow.
