Desserts are traditionally looked at as barren, but really some of the most unique creatures and plants thrive there. Places like desserts are given such reputations because of how they appear on the surface. Investigating anything, even something that appears barren, may bring about lovely and unique things. So even though something looks hopeless, give it a try. You may be surprised at what it brings.
And oh my god...I realize now I just wrote about a desert. And the word was dessert. Pshh. I'll keep it :D
"I have something up my sleeve." I've heard that expression so many times without truly grasping what it means. It means you have something hidden; it could be good or bad. The fact that you have "something" up your sleeve implies that you are going to use it soon. A sleeve is a handy place to keep something, after all. You just slide whatever your object is out and into the palm of your hand. To keep something in one's sleeve implies its necessity. And, possibly, its danger.
What does it mean to be luxurious? Does it mean silk sheets, satin curtains, and the finest jewels? Or does it mean a warm fireplace, surrounded by family and friends? Luxury is relative, as is happiness.
