The festival was coming, and she didn't even have a decent pair of shoes. Once again, she would be forced to watch from the sidelines in her plain blue dress as her friends paraded around in their fancy, garish clothes.
Glimmer. The first thought that came to me: Vampires. How utterly depressing is that? Vampires are supposed to be ruthless, evil, spawn-of-Satan-esque monsters that feed on humans. Like something Sam and Dean Winchester would run into. Not a bunch of romantic, human-loving sparkly pansies.
The desert was hot and dry and barren. Big surprise, right? The desert was exactly how would picture a desert. Although, I wasn't expecting unicorns.
