Your eyes shifted from left to right. focusing on the menu so hard that I could see the gears turning in your head.
You licked your lips several times, as if trying to stop yourself from drooling before the sight of the food.
You cut the steak greedily, stuffing them into your mouth and looking apologetic for starting first.
"I'm sorry. I'm still trying to be classy and elegant."
In my eyes, your elegance is already unparalleled.
You flooded my thoughts and ran through my mind every single second. You, the imperfect perfection I've always been looking for. You make me happy like no one else can.
You had me yearning for you, you render me incapable of falling asleep without thinking of you, you turned me into the greedy monster I am now.
All I want is to put a smile on you, like you do to me.
Is that too greedy to ask for?
"Wait! Don't do anything rash-"
She had already thrown it before I could finish. The brick went sailing through the air before shattering the glass panel into a million pieces.
She took furtive glances as she hugged her handbag close to her chest. Small puffs of air escaped from her mouth and her face blushed a deep pink.
"What is she doing?" I thought to myself as I strolled towards her with my shopping cart.
Then I saw what she was up to. A whole row of Christmas decors, mainly Santa figurines, were rearranged to look like they were humping one another.
A loud gasp came from my right and I turned to see the shocked face of a fellow shopper.
I had no idea what came over me, but I dashed towards her and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the nearest exit at top speed. Her uncontrollable laughter pierced the air as we ran out of the store.
Not only had she made me an accomplice that night, she had stolen my heart.
It takes no effort to doubt, but way too much to erase it.
It’s impossible to erase our past, but we can accept it.
In times of doubt, let me remember.
How we didn't let our story end there.
