I was put into a can like so much tuna. I'm not sure how it happened. One moment I was minding my own business and walking down the street and the next I was scooped up by some intergalactic trawling space ship. Now I know how the fishes feel. It's too late for me to make any changes though. Such is life.
they approached me on the the street. I didn't seem them coming, nor had I heard them, just suddenly they were there. I looked around and there seemed to be no way to avoid the confrontation. I wasn't sure what I'd do, what I could do. As they drew closer, put my hand into my pocket and met their gaze without flinching.
It was in the kingdom that I found him. He's been beaten and battered by the knights of the realm and left for dead. Why I stopped to help I don't know. Maybe because I knew it was wrong to leave anyone alone like that. My heart it too big sometimes. But my trust was not betrayed. No, instead I made a valuable and close friend. Funny how one act of kindness can change a persons life in unexpected ways. Forever.
She looked at me with dark smoky eyes. Her skin, smooth and flawless, like alabaster. How I longed for her touch. The feel of her fingers to move along my skin like St. Anthony's fire, setting me alight and alive.
When I think about ownership I'd never thought it would have applied to me. It's strange, so willing give up much to gain so much. It's not for everyone I guess, but it works for me.
