i have no reason to believe that we will ever get paid for the work we did today. I made 4 skirts, all of them out of red plaid. The seams are SO hard to line up...the big and small lines have to match just so. Well, I can be glad I finished. Maybe I'll get a referral out of it.

Adam slipped out the back door and padded quietly to the garden gate. He'd hidden a torch there earlier...ah there it was. funny it felt light...why someone had taken the batteries! Why would they take the batteries and leave the torch? If they wanted to foils his plans they would have taken the torch too.
Adam remembered his brothers and their toy trucks, and knew what happened to the batteries. Now the question is, 'who put them up to it?'
