I could almost cry as I was engulfed by the red hues around me. I picked up a fallen leaf and made a wish. If only I could he see this beauty with me. There was nothing quite like autumn that could intensify my longing.
She eyed the vehicle as if she were looking at a prize. Lust was evident in her eyes. She was tired of dealing with public transport all day. She wanted nothing more that to have her own.
She looked straight at his unreadable eyes. She felt small underneath his gaze. His knowledge was above and beyond hers. Would her mind be able to reach the same depths? He merely smiled with a twinkle in his eye.
It was like she had just gulped lungfuls of air after nearly drowning. Nothing held her back now. She could almost touch the sky as she smiled.
She laid alone in the dark, eyes closed and pretending to sleep. Inside her head, however, was a different story. Desperately, she tried to recall what it was like to be kissed by him but all she could remember were flashes, nothing concrete. All she had were her memories after all.
She felt small under his gaze. The way he looked at her made her feel as if she could hide nothing from him.
"I love your eyes."
She shivered under their stares. It was over. She closed her eyes and whispered her peace.
"Goodbye."
She struggled with her dinner tonight. The multitude of forks and knives confused her. She looked around at the guests dining with ease.
"I don't belong here."
Boils erupted from his skin. He wondered why he was chosen.
She eyed him with disgust and left. She couldn't have foreseen that she'd fall victim to it too.
She wandered around the halls aimlessly, concentrating on putting one foot forward, one after the other. She staggered as she walked until she crumpled on the floor.
"Poor girl."
