The train was late. This was going to push back everything on his itinerary.
Simon sighed, bemoaning the lose of his little private life in his small home in rural Iowa.
"Are you sure that we have to leave Francis?" Simon asked, only receiving a cursory glare from his cranky wife.
Collar, in Spanish means necklace, but in english it means ... collar, something to attach a leash to.
The things that carry over in languages amuse me sometimes.
Take a bow, take a bow and get out.
That's what she told me, that's what I did.
It's like watching your life flash before your eyes in slow motion without that pesky dieing thing.
As I took that bow, I faded away into nothingness, into something greater than I could ever have been on my own.
I understood.
"The Clash is a British band. I don't really enjoy the songs that I've heard, but there's always a possibility that what I've heard wasn't their best"
"Why do you have to be so boring all the time?"

The lantern was bright, almost glaring compared to the sleekness of the night. It barely lit 5 feet of space, engulfed in fog the way that it was. But it's brightness was still something to admire.

The balloon rose up in the air lazily, as if it had all day to get to wherever it was going.
"Is it going to heaven Mommy?" I heard a child ask, his voice high pitched and sweet.
"That dress was way too short. Like seriously, what were you thinking? Way too much leg showing, girl, you know your best asset isn't your legs, seriously! Think about the rest of the world before putting something like that on, every again."
And you wonder why my self esteem is so low.
It is your destiny and you must fulfill it. She said
I don't believe in destiny, I might believe in it if I had a nice destiny, something like: you will grow up to have five kids, a decent husband and a dog.
That's a nice destiny, not: You will grow up to destroy everything you ever loved, you will never amount to anything decent, and you must be destroyed.
Tell me, do you blame me for not believing in destiny with a 'future' like that?
"What is the meaning of this?", He said, he sounded so serious, like watching a freshmen chug a whole gallon of milk because of a dare, wasn't funny.
