One:
Absolutely hilarious.
Example:
He is hysterically funny.
Ooh, an adverb!
Two:
In a state of panic.
Example:
Any college student in the middle of exams,
Any girl without her man in a scary movie.
You're slipping away
I feel it happening
Please stay here with me
Fight your way back now
Promise me you won't become
Just a faded dream
I know you aren't just
An obsolete memory
Just stay here with me
Volumes of my life fill the shelves
From Magic Tree House and Shel Silverstein
To Narnia and Harry Potter
Myriad sources of imagination
Lies within my bookshelves
Because one has never been enough
To contain the far reaches of my daydreams
My bookshelves were home to my favorite stories
My greatest heroes and inspirations
You could say bookshelves wrote this poem
I trusted you,
when I was young.
I trusted you,
when you were innocent.
I trusted you,
when we were friends.
I trusted you,
past tense.
That's over now.
A business suit
An afternoon meeting
Advertising and marketing
Executive decisions.....
It's the kind of life that pays
And drains.
I don't want that life.
Let me be happy.
Not executive.
Like Cinderella
Doing my chores all day long
Sweeping up secrets
