Rally. Sounds sooo... dated. Pep rallies have been discontinued because of "political correctness". No one rallies together. No one talks to one another. We are not who we want to be.
Alarmists are not to be trusted. They feed off of your emotion - get their kicks from your fear, from your anxiety. They use you as simple amusement, as a way to escape the boredom that engulfs them.
So many things nowadays are automatic. Automatic cars, toasters, TVs, phones. Where did the world that we knew, loved, and grew up in go? Where is the sentiment of reading? But now we have Nooks and Kindles. No more sweet smell of book, or the rustling of pages when you turn the page. It's all automatic.
Dull is something that is unappetizing to the mind. Someone who is dull is not someone I'd like to talk to. Examples of such people: Dr. Phil, Ben Stein (actually, maybe), Nicholas Cage, and Tom Cruise.
Advice is universal. Anyone can follow it, and anyone can dish it out. But it all depends on whether or not the advice is good. I suppose it's all just perspective, isn't it?
