  1. “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty”-Winston Churchill

    What should i ask?
  2. I am asking a simple question and I want a simple answer. It should not be too difficult to answer when I am only asking for this simple solution to a fairly simple problem. Asking for advice is something that I am glad to do since this is probably the best way to arrive at a solution. The question is this: Is the word asking a good word to use in this instance or should I use the word inquiring?

    Maxine Bersch Lovern
  3. who is asking whom what? and why are they asking whatever they’re asking. can’t they just think for themselves? can’t they not stop being inquisitive and asking? why should they ask? Can’t a man have a minute of peace? does whoever is asking have to keep asking, and thereby intruding on his minute? anyway, what ever he is asking..if i’m the person he’s asking, i refuse to tell him whatever it is that he wants to hear.

  4. tan(x y) = (tan x tan y) / (1 tan x tan y)

    sin(2x) = 2 sin x cos x

    cos(2x) = cos^2(x) – sin^2(x) = 2 cos^2(x) – 1 = 1 – 2 sin^2(x)

    tan(2x) = 2 tan(x) / (1 – tan^2(x))

    sin^2(x) = 1/2 – 1/2 cos(2x)

    cos^2(x) = 1/2 + 1/2 cos(2x)

    sin x – sin y = 2 sin( (x – y)/2 ) cos( (x + y)/2 )

    cos x – cos y = -2 sin( (x – y)/2 ) sin( (x + y)/2 )

This has “ing” at the end of it, so it’s present tense. I can’t think of anything else to write and I’m out of time.

  13. dude, this thing is nuts. When put under pressure like this, it’s extremely hard. When they put the word I froze- what does that mean? Do I lack a creative capacity? Do I have educational anxiety or something? I mean, I feel like the word ‘asking’ is simple enough to deal with/write about. Sometimes simplicity can be a burden, especially in something as open ended as this.

  20. asking means that you want something from someone, you never know if they’re going to give it to you or not but it’s always worth a try if you want it bad enough. “it never hurts to ask”. that isn’t always true if you have a shred of dignity in your silly, sad little life. it hurts to be shut down especially when you’re just asking for something stupid. i mean really, why would you want to ask a question that you know won’t work?

  22. It’s never an easy thing to ask about what you’re really wanting out of people. It’s harder for them to admit the answers after you’ve asked it of them.

    But really why is that?

What in our society made it so bloody hard to just ASK something, and RECEIVE an answer.

It’s all one wants, to have a dialog, and thus have events pushed further, to have life grow about them.

  39. Asking is what I do to gain further knowledge of something that is questionable or interesting. Most people ask obvious questions it seems. But if they would stop and think before they ask they might find the answer in their own mind. 40. a question is everything, it means all that one would say in a communication. Without asking, what are we? Just telling…and when we’re telling we’re not seeking the truth, we are only saying what we believe to be true. When someone is asking of us, we usually feel that we are being put upon, but more likely they are looking for a companion in their search for truth. Be honored to be that companion.
