  14. Asking… We ask so many things when we’re little children. But as we grow older, we lose our curiosity. We gradually lose that beautiful thing of not knowing, of being surprised. We get too used to this world. And yet, live goes on. The further we keep our curiosity, the better we spend it.

  17. I remember the first time I had to ask for something. Actually, I don’t. Who remembers the first time? It’s not like sex. No one forgets that first time unless it was at a college party or Kobe Bryant’s hotel room. The first time you ask for something, you’re about one hour old. You’re screaming. You’re hungry. You’re asking to be changed. You’re asking to be held. You’re asking for all kinds of things. And really, who remembers that?

I do remember asking for toys from Santa. Seeing the scary man in a beard. Ever wonder why so many kids cry when they see Santa? He’s a big, strange dude. He’s got a beard. He’s pretty fucking terrifying. Don’t take your kids to see him. It’ll only frighten them.
