  2. I knew that he was a jokester, but I assumed that he knew when to stop. That he knew what was okay to do. But telling her that, that was just not okay. That wasn’t funny. That hurt my heart as much as it did hers. Now I have to ignore him until it mends, until I can forgive him. I still love him, but he needs to learn.

  7. i assume that sometimes i get really boring or hypocrital, and i assume that people don’t like it. once i told orli that i assumed something about her because i was the same way and we’re very similar, and she said, “you should never assume, casue you’ll make an ass out of you and me.” which, okay, i gues is pretty adorable because it’s the same sounds but like… it’s true.

  8. assumptions generally lead to one embarrassing oneself. typically, this embarrassment could have been avoided by the simple act of thinking before one speaks. also…. assuming makes an ass out of you and me.

  10. i assume youre cute and nothing else. this is kind of silly but its ok i like to make an ass out of you and me. assuming is silly too and people who assume are lame but i do it all the time but its something i need to work on because it makes me presumptuous and i shouldnt be. i should always have an open mind and ytea.

  12. ich nehme an dass mein Leser auch deutsch versteht und darauf reagieren kann. annahmen sind immer heikel, da sie unbestätigt sind und können irreführend sein, wie das auch immer gemeint ist. Denken ist hier ja nicht erlaubt, darum nehme ich an, dass es hier niemanden interessiert was ich denke. mehr gibt es eigentlich nicht anzunehmen.

  15. you can’t always assume that the worst is going to happen. i can’t assume that he is not going to show up tonight. or assume that he’s not going to call me. i can’t assume that im the only one who cares. i can’t assume that he’s cheating on me. i can’t assume he misses his last girlfriend. i can’t assume he’s only using me for sex. i just can’t make those assumptions. but im pretty sure that i know.

  22. When people assume, they usually are wrong. That’s what I believe, only because, an assumption has no evidence. Otherwise, it would just be deducing, which is an assumption based upon some sort of evidence. I try not to assume things, because I often find I lose my cool in such scenarios. I am assuming my time is almost up anyway… I have no clue when, OH… look at that, a bell just when off.

  23. You might assume that I am a mild-mannered middle aged woman, but you are so wrong. My hobbies are not crocheting, looking after the grandchildren and art classes, but S & M, white river rafting and mountain climbing. Not for me the safety of the fireside, I like excitment and challenges.

    Both spanish exchange program kids are coming in like a week… and well… what do we do if they get arrested? It’s like sorry, but your son can’t come home by international treatise 52….. or whatever. and well I would be rather…. disheartened to hear my son couldn’t come home ya know?   25. well i assume alot of things that i shouldnt. like i assume that not everyone likes clingyness. and i assume all druggies are horrible people. people make assumtions all the time that are often not true. it’s who we are as humans. I think we do it as a stereotype.

  29. Some people assume things without thinking and by assuming they end up up hurting someone’s feelings sometimes. Other times, they just look plain stupid. If people would think before they spoke and do their research, I think everything would be just fine.

  30. I assume that maybe life on other planets is a joke. I’m sure if we went there and found something, it was probably planted. Of course, that’s just my personal opinion, but I’m fairly certain I have the facts to back it up. If you argue with me, I’ll probably just hit you over the head with a tack hammer and dress you up like my mother.

  31. you make an ass out of you and me is the common thing to say when that word is said. i’ve been trying not to say the phrase as much anymore. i have found it to be obnoxious and old. now when I hear someone else say it i make an assumption about that person…usually one that makes them an ass.

  37. Assumptions are never a good thing. Everybody makes them, but it’s assumptions that lead to misinformation. Assumptions aren’t a logical way to gather information. One should always verify the information before they make an assumption.

  38. Assuming things is never a good idea. I have a friend who saw a woman that he knew at a party and assumed that she was still pregnant. He walked up to the woman and said: “So, when are you due?” Her response? “I had the baby two weeks ago.” OUCH…that one hurts. So, when you have the urge to assume something, just ask questions first…don’t assume ANYTHING!
