  3. Nothing good ever happens in Autumn. Nothing bad ever happens in Autumn. Autumn is, simply put, a time of change. The colors change. My heart changes. Every September, every October, every November, I am in a constant state of change. Nothing can stop it. Nothing can hold it back. My very spirit changes colors like the leaves do, from a vibrant green to a golden yellow to a blood, blood red.

    Shelby
  4. A terrible terrible season, in which the blissful ignorance of summer fades. Of course summer was doomed to end but we chose not to think about that. Now, as life begins to die and the weather makes us sad, some sadistic people actually find beauty in this terrible time of year. Maybe it’s the poetry behind death that they’re attracted to.

A different word would better suit
    The color that illuminates
    In your golden green eyes.

    Doeth whisk away
(In gentle whispers in the wind)

    The browning Green,
Are Scales of Burden that we shed
    When Winter’s Blanket
    Fast approaches–

    And Phoenix years
    Are birthed anew.
