It was the most companionable they had ever been since Ushio had become an officer and he had been sent to capture the dark haired duelist who liked to egg him on.

Yusei was beginning to wander if he should say the first word or if he should wait for Ushio to start.

  8. “Oh such grace”, they cry out.Perhaps the ruthless hopes of broken bones have yet spoken insufficiently upon bruises I loathe I now bow to the audience.

  9. He stumbled off the stage, heady with adrenaline and the still ringing applause. They loved it. He loved it. He –. It didn’t matter. Basic training started in a week. The people who truly mattered HADN’T loved it. He just wasn’t good enough. Since he couldn’t make himself happy, he figured that his family’s happiness was second best. Wasn’t war just another dance?

  12. Clara put down the book she was reading, and looked at Morris. “I know it’s crazy to complain, but there are some things I do miss about life on earth: Music, ballet, theatre. And I don’t mean on video, I know there’s tons of that. I mean really doing it, watching people do it. The actual performance of it, all the work that goes on backstage, the rehearsals, the mistakes. All you
see on video is the finished product, perfected and polished. We need someone to teach that to future generations, or the art will die out.” Morris stared at her, smiling for a few second, then said; “What about you?”

  13. Gestalt.

  14. How graceful they are when they dance…I wish that I too could match their skill, their balance, their freedom. College is a lot like a ballet. Seemingly easy and listless, but requiring great skill, determination, and patience.

  15. Soft as air
    Hard as a calloused fist
    Through the breeze
    A staged belief

    Art of controlled motion
Lift and sail on toes and out stretched arms
Ultimate statement of dance and charm

  16. Everything was beautiful at the Ballet, everything graceful and serene. The Ballet was everything I wanted to be, and everything I was never going to be.

Yet still I went, every Tuesday, because despite my sadness, and my misery, the Ballet wiped that all away with every pirouette.

Yes, everything was beautiful at the Ballet.

  17. My daughter started taking ballet classes when she was 3 years old. She is still only 5 but she has come so far already. It has been amazing watching her grow into such an amazing dancer in a short amount of time. She has a recital at the end of May and I am really looking forward to seeing jus how far she has come

  18. My daughter started ballet when she was 3. She is 5 now and I’ve seen her grow into an amazing dancer already. It’s amazing to see how far she has come. She has a recital coming up at the end of May and I can’t wait to see her progress.

  19. Dress rehearsal week. My feet are scarred, cut, bruised and sore. I have fallen and bruised countless times. All of this abuse I put myself through goes towards a beautiful display of finesse, with the pain clouded in makeup, that I can show to the world. The rush of performance and the wonder on faces of mesmerized audience members make it all worth it.

  20. Dan is bored, he’s practically sleeping. This isn’t their scene, not their crowd and Arin nudges him with an elbow in the soft part of his ribs to keep him up, because if he starts to snore Suzy will murder the two of them. Not that she notices them much as Barry (who does like ballet) is whispering to her and pointing at the stage, with Suzy nodding excitedly in agreement.

  21. He walked toward the bar with grace that no other man I had ever seen possessed. His legs lighted softy on the wooden floor and his arms stayed still by his side. I watched as he grasped the bar and slowly lifted his leg straight above his curly head, practically parallel with his body. Chills shivered down my spine as the music began and he spun out into a liquid dance. He was Magnar Svensen, famed Swedish ballet dancer, just 19 years old. “He’s the one,” I said.

  22. The bloodied calluses on the tips of her toes were unfamiliar. It was odd, having to try, since every skill came so effortlessly to her usually, but now after her fifth class in Miss Hark’s studio, she felt as if working for something yielded stronger results.

  23. Flowing elegance giving no care to physical boundaries. Only those that the dancers have in their minds. For if they believe they are the Swan, the Rat King, the Toy Soldiers or the beautiful maiden waiting for her prince to chase her.

  24. She touched her toes to the ground, her heels lifting up.
Her legs quivered. She could feel her body shaking, struggling to stay still.
She could feel her body giving out. Nothing would be the same after the accident. Her body failed her.

    Kiersten Morgan
  25. Everyone wanted to see the ballet tonight. I couldn’t tell if it was because of the Russian-like winter, or the Christmas spirit, or simply the fact that people felt like dressing up in tails and fur and sucking on candies in their big, red, cushioned seats. I was seated close to the front, close enough to hear one of the clarinetists breathe in and out of his mouthpiece before audibly screwing in his reed.

  26. ballet is a dance which i personally do not like very much but it helps football players with their balance.

    S. King
  28. Ela costumava detestar ballet. Odiava as músicas, o talco batido nas sapatilhas e as pontas que deixavam os dedos das bailarinas horríveis, mas quando começou a dançar, não conseguiu parar, tornando-se seu vício e refúgio.

    Ana Carolina Mei
  29. The dance wasn’t what she expected when she opened her wardrobe and put on her best pair of jeans and the tightest t-shirt she could find. It was more like a ballet and everyone now was just staring and asking what was she doing on the dancefloor afterall.

  30. I get pleasure from, cause I discovered exactly what I was looking for.
You’ve ended my four day long hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day.

  31. It’s taking the bullet
    with grace, because
    becoming the monsters
    beneath your bed
    just because you’re
    afraid to feel scared
    is no more an excuse
    then blaming the absence
    of god on the universe
    wrapping so empty
    around your ribs.

  32. Ballet is generally associated with girls, however I am sure there are guys who strap on the lyric, prance around like fairies and really rock out with their own version of this dancing. I just don’t want to be one of them.

  33. I never wanted to be a ballet but I believe it is something so beautiful. Dancing with your whole body is a visual beauty. It must be very hard to practise and dance by being a ballet.

  34. The spotlight shone in her eyes, blinding her. She felt the audience’s eyes upon her; staring. Waiting. Yet she couldn’t see them. Perhaps that was a good thing. Her hands trembled and her legs quivered, and she wondered if her toes were strong enough to propel her through the air as she’d practiced.

    Riley Murray
  35. Twirl like your mother was there when you were young
and when you go home, swear like a hyena yells
grab your knickers and head downtown
    it’s not like you’re a crazy bastard
just that you were raised to expect
    a certain kind of cruelty
That tragic ballet endings can’t cut out of your system

  36. Ballet. Graceful – to watch, yes, but why I like it, what keeps me going through the pain, is simpler: control.

  37. I love the grace and beauty of ballerinas, and I could watch them forever. When I was young I thought they looked like angels. When I got older, I learned how hard their lives are. It’s like they are angels with bunions and bad knees. But they can still fly.

  38. The girl moved graciously through the decorations, twirling and avoiding swiftly the small pebbles that stood in her way. With a simple thing, she twisted her foot and stood on her tiptoes, bowing her head.

  39. In my music library are a series of classics sometimes relating to ballet. Fire Bird is not one of them, but maybe someday. Until then there is Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, and Sleeing Beauty. Perhaps it is a childhood memory of Peter and the Wolf that keeps that old favorite in the music queue too.

  40. It began with one or two leaves tripping up, then down, like dancers rising and falling from sudden slumber into poise without purpose. Suddenly a gust blew hundreds of dancing leaves into a chaotic mass, expressing both the random microscopic perturbations within the wind and its larger funneled force, like a flock of zombie birds, twitching but moving as one this way and that in response to an invisible power.
