  4. Sometimes they make things out of the bamboo. They don’t tell us what, but they tell us sometimes, during the hard months, to work harder, harvest twice, even three times as much as usual. I want to know what they are making, but they beat us if we ask questions. We don’t even know what they really look like. They have glowing eyes.

  19. As the bamboo shoots from the leaves we can hear the pandas rushing to their mothers. We couldn’t tell why they were running, only that it seemed urgent that the pandas see their caregivers. It was only until we heard the unsettling sound of sharp bamboo cuts that we knew something had gone wrong.

  29. Sara closed her eyes, running her fingers along the smooth wood and smiling slightly. She loved the feel of bamboo. It was such a smooth texture, calming was the only way to describe it. She sighed and opened them again, brushing the tips of her fingers down the length of the wood and examining the interesting green color, looking at all the different fibers. She loved Bamboo.

  34. once upon a time there was a panda. his name was reddington because his favorite color was red. he didn’t like that bamboo was not red so he would go around eating anything he could find that was red. his parents and friends made fun of him because they thought he was being silly and not acting like a true panda. but one year, the bamboo caught a bug and no one could eat it. reddington taught everyone to eat things other than bamboo, especially his favorite red berries. and so the lesson came that one must not always follow the straight shoots of the bamboo.

  36. bamboo is in Asian contries and is a main food source for Panda bears which are going extinct, it is also a good material with which one can defend themselves using martial arts which implement the bamboo stick into their onslaught of physical pain.

  37. bamboo can be black. I learned this afetr researching it after seeing an asian exhibit in Las Vegas at the Bellagio. It also makes a handy weapon in a pinch.

  39. bamboo is a very pretty color, and it makes me feel warm and think of pandas.

    however, it also reminds me of this time at home, when we had bamboo growing through our deck at our house. we tried and tried to get rid of it, but no matter what we did, it would continue to grow and grow.

    event though pandas are really cute…bamboo in my deck is not.
