  14. I held my hair band in my hands and stared at it. It was red and had lost most of it’s shine and color in the course of the last year. While I was wearing it all day and every day I thought of myself as revolutionary, but I think I grew up: Now I don’t think revolution is possible anymore. I’d rather find tranqulity within myself so as to not get hurt again. Ever again.
I long for it: love, unity, community, but at the same time I learned to detest my longing. For lack of a better word: I lost it. I’m bitter.

  15. The band of people gathered together. Their clothes, tattered from the war they have gone through, were soaked with blood from their scars of fear and desperation. The faintest scream was heard ahead. They didn’t know what to do.

  20. The band’s music swells in the background as he leaned against the rail, knowing that he would seen be gone. And he’d come to watch the parade but first, he had to make sure that someone knew where it- and he- was going.

  21. when i was in high school, band met geek. then i graduated and met my best friend. she was a “geek” by my previous definition. She gave band a new meaning and I regretted the way I felt about it in high school. now I have a new appreciation for bands and music in general. I never realized how much music adds to the world. What a boring place it would be if thre were no background music to go with it. Nothing to set the mood, nothing to dance in the rain to, nothing… A sad sad place it would be. Thank you my best friend for showing me this.

    Jennifer
  22. Let’s all band together and put a stop to all the hurt. You feel alone but really, you’re not. Everyone else wants hope just as much as you do.

If we could all get along, the world would be a better place.

  24. the band of troops marched silently up the hill.
    stop.
    breathe.
    scan.

    there it was.

    brilliant in the distance.

    alert.

    chillingly haunting.

    but one glance-
    done.

I wrote that right before I made my account..sorry!

  25. I’ve considered starting a band on many occasions. The only thing stopping me is conflict of interest–everyone wants to be the lead singer, and I am clearly the vocal talent of the group, though we’re all extraordinary.

  26. Music bands, rubber bands, bands that go in your hair, bands that play in the parade, it doesn’t matter what kind of band it is, bands are all pretty cool. “Band” brought to you by sesame street.

  27. She sits in the back, tapping her foot to the tune of her favorite song. He surprised her with tickets for her favorite band, but he has yet to show up. She wonders if he will at all; little does she know he’s walking up to her with the ring in his hand.

  28. Good things come wrapped in rubber bands. Newspapers. Fresh flowers. Pony tails. Asparagus. I always save my rubber bands, too. Because you never know when you’ll find a good thing you need to wrap a band around.

  31. music is a necessity of life. it challenges the mind, feeds the soul, as well as, gives peace and contentment to the body. without it, life would be chaos. its used for praise, release, and encouragement. areas people can not always fulfill and music can never let down.

  32. i’m with the band
    i said to the man
i’m here to start the party
    they make the music
    but i rock the body
and i’ve been the band aid
    long before they came
but i pick and chose wisely
    because i’m crazy, not insane
    i’m down for whatever
but it’s best if you can rage
and take a break to re-wet your lips
and come kiss me on the side of the stage

  33. I’d always wanted to be in a marching band, but my mother was always whoreing me out to beauty pagents—that I never won. I wasn’t beautiful, but i sure could keep a note—I used to learn to play trumpet from my friends dad when i was younger

  34. There a soft band playing in the background. This was the most beautiful night ever. The night lights were quite dim but they looked sparkling to my eyes. The hand of the most wonderful woman was on my hand as we were swaying to the music. It was definitely magical.

    Rock band.

    Rubber band.

Bands are all positive and we must embrace this. We must unite and band together. We must have the heart, soul and energy of a rock band. We must have the flexibility of a rubber band.
